Description

A limited edition print of the Central Stool, designed in 1951 by Tamar de Shalit when she was a student at the Central School of Arts & Crafts in London (where she met her future husband, Arthur Goldreich). The original pencil technical drawing is to scale 1:1 for the one-off furniture piece she made by hand in solid elm for her school project.

The work reflects the refined clarity of the modernist language she developed through her studies. Functional and versatile, the piece works either as an occasional table or a stool. 73 years after the original, Tamart is now producing the Central Stool.

Using the highest quality Hahnemühle (art) paper the prints are available in optional oak frames and limited to an edition of 150, certified and authenticated with a personal letter by TAMART’s founder, Amos Goldreich the son of Tamar and Arthur.
